The Swedish Blue Steel and Kamaji iron blade reads down the center of the handle in
hand engraved kanji ISHIDO
TERUHIDE SAKU or Made by Ishido Teruhide. The back is marked in the same
manner and reads HYAKUREN or Hit One Hundred Times.
The paulownia wood box is marked on the lid KOGATANA or Small Knife, and
the ends of the box are stamped with a red seal ISHIDO TERUHIDE KANNA SAI
SAKUJO or Kanna Maker Ishido Teruhide.
The blade pictured was made by Ishido Hideo in the 1970s at the hamono
factory in Oyama, Tochigi Prefecture.
