And down the center SEI KOKYUHIN (very best quality).

A classic renge stone that is just rich with full bloom renge lotus flower red patterns and so much so that the stone itself has a sort of purplish hue to it. The back of the stone is beautifully hand chiseled and also has plenty of renge.

This stone cuts very fast and is a joy to use and is a real show piece. I would estimate that the stone has a grit in the 38,000 range.
