There are touches of renge showing here and there and part of the
strata skin is on the back as you can see in the photos.
This is a good size medium hard stone that has a grit level of the low
30,000. I believe that this stone was mined in the 1950's and will quickly
bring up a
lot of black particles while leaving hardly any paste. This would be a good stone
for chisels.
