SUITA AWASEDO
195 - 69 - 19mm
.68 kg. = 1.5 lbs
From the top right SUITA (the mine strata) and in
the middle of the stone TOKUSEN (best quality), and on the paper label
And the paper label reads from left to right and
down TOKUSAN (special) below that KOZANMOTO (Kozanmoto Mining Co.) down
the center SHO HONYAMA NARUTAKI AWASEDO (true original mountain Narutaki
finishing stone).
This stone also matches up with Suita
#208 and Suita #206 as far as the stamps
go.
A smaller and less expensive suita stone but of
excellent quality, the stone has particles of both renge and nashi-ji and
it is a very fast cutting stone that will polish to a bright finish both
white and blue steel while leaving the soft iron a lovely hazy contrast to
the hard steel.
